Other areas of the Foundation Stage Curriculum

Please do at least 1 of the following:

• Make a knight’s training obstacle course- set it up to include the skills of going under/over, balancing, going through objects, climbing and jumping off. Try it out and then test your family- are they brave and skilled enough to be a knight?

• When out and about with your child, discuss different occupations. What jobs do they notice in the community? Why is that job important? What does that person do? Maybe they could find out some information from a relative or a book. What would they like to do when they are older?

• Get creative! Can you make your own mini rainforest in a box? Practise your cutting and sticking. You could include some animals too.

• Oh no! Your teachers have got lost in the jungle! Can you design them a map to help them find their way out? What features might there be to help them navigate their way? A waterfall? Monkeys swinging through trees? A muddy swamp? etc.

Please ensure at least 5 tasks are completed and put on to Tapestry before the week beginning.

Monday 23rd March

Enjoy your home learning activities this half term!

Remember we love to see as many observations as possible of fun things your child has done/said/made at home. Any time you have had a ‘WOW’ moment from your child- Tapestry it!
