Barrier games - Microsoft

Barrier games

Two pupils sit at a table with a barrier/small screen between them.

They each have an identical sheet to colour in and a set of colours.

They take it in turns to give an instruction to the other person about how to colour something in. E.g Colour the trousers red. The sheets are designed so that the other person needs more information- e.g. which trousers?

(there are lots of people with trousers in the picture.)

The pupil giving the instruction has to be more specific and say things like the boy in the top row, the one on the middle. You may need to model the instruction.

The pupils carrying out the instruction has to ask specific questions. E.g. Which row, top, middle or bottom? Left or right? You may need to model the question.
