279400-25400000Dream House ProjectAs our study of geometry comes to an end, you will now have the opportunity to apply your learning to a real life, hypothetical, situation: You will design a dream house! The assignment has been split into 5 parts with specific minimum requirements on each part. Please read the assignment completely before you begin. For this project you will work on your own. You will have some class time to complete the project, but the majority will be done at home. The guidelines and grading rubric is below. The project is due Wednesday, May 19th. Part 1: The overall picture: Land, House, YardYour land must be a minimum of 7500 sq ft. You may create the shape of the land and decide exactly where you will put your house and what landscaping you will add.Your house must be a minimum of 1800 sq ft. Your house must be a maximum of 3 storiesPart 2: Your dream house requirements:Include at least 6 different rooms (bath, bed, kitchen, living room, dining room, family room, den, craft room, play room, etc.)You may have more than one of each room (ex. 3 bedrooms)At least one room must be an irregular shapeYard must be a minimum of 300 sq ft. Hallways need to be 48” wide; doorways 36” wide; ceilings 8-12 feet tall.Part 3: Draw your blueprint:Choose a reasonable scale and draw a blueprint-like sketch of your house. Your final drawing must be on white copy paper. (you will need to use a pencil and colored pencils/markers)Include the scale used (measurement : actual dimension) and the dimensions (length and width) of each room. Label each room. Use green for the scale measurement and red for the actual measurement.
