Our mission for Music Ministries at Woods Chapel Church is to play, sing and worship joyfully to God, offering our musical gifts to each worship service.

For Recreation

Woods Chapel Church offers several opportunities for fitness and recreation. From organized sports to fitness classes, there is something for you!

Men's Basketball Men over 30 meet in the Gym on Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. for pick-up games. Contact Randy Scarborough at randy.rce@.

Co-Ed Volleyball This co-ed league meets on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. in the Gym. Contact Stephanie Keeton at williams_steph@.

Tae Kwon Do These training sessions focus on flexibility, technique, form and self defense. The group meets on Wednesdays from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Gym. The classes will run from Aug.27Oct. 29. All adults and children over the age of 10 are welcome! Contact Michael Moore at 816.277.9688.

Women's Fitness Classes Get fit and enjoy fellowship with other WCC women! WCC offers various classes in the gym:

Babysitting Co-op Parents of children ages 2-12 share babysitting duties throughout the year. Parents can enjoy a night out while the kids play! For Women

Women's Bible Studies Practical and vibrant discussions of current spiritual topics where women meet to share their lives, prayers and faith. These studies are open to women of all ages, are available on Sunday mornings and during the week, offering both daytime and evening options. Childcare is available for some studies. "Where Moms Connect" This program offers a short study specifically for young moms of children in pre-school thru 3rd grade. There is a special feature, some refreshments, a lot of fun and fellowship. The daytime group meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month from 10 a.m.-Noon in the Lecture Hall (Room 330) and the evening group meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Lecture Hall. NEW! Lunch Packin' Mamas These moms meet every Monday morning from 9:15 a.m.-10 a.m. to pray for their kids, their teachers and their school staff. Put your kids on the bus and come pray God's blessing on those who influence your children. Open to all mothers of school-aged children and to former educators who want to support these mothers. Christmas in Silver and White: The women's ministry special Christmas event will be on Sat., Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. in the Caf? Wonderland (WCC Caf? Foyer Area). Small plates, decadent desserts, lots of chocolate and an original drama, "Seasons of a Woman's Life".

Pure Joy, A Special Women's Weekend Event: Feb. 6-7, 2015. Featuring Tammy Trent, an international recording artist and speaker, with a wonderful story of tragedy and victory. There will be an all women's praise band, breakout sessions, door prizes, chocolate and laughter! Come join us for a time to get away, grow, revitalize and experience the joy of Christ.

Student Ministry Our student ministry consists of superior Sunday school classes, high-energy Youth Group gatherings, challenging mid-week small groups that are led by students called Synago, a rockin' Confirmation Experience program, mission trips, special events and so much more! Sunday School Available at 9:05,10:10 and the 11:15 a.m. services for kids 2 years old-4th grade. Tree House Kids (K-4th grade) meet in the gym. Age 2-4 year olds meet in their classrooms in the Education wing. Woods Chapel Church has a vibrant Missions ministry, with over 30 local and global missions. From filling weekend food bags for low-income students to sponsoring the Velikoretskoye Orphanage in Russia, we want to be the hands and feet of Christ and make a real difference in people's lives. Ronald McDonald Family Room Meals The Ronald McDonald Family Room makes it possible for families staying with ill children at Children's Mercy Hospital to get a warm meal without having to leave the hospital. WCC serves dinner on the 3rd Sunday afternoon of each month. Become involved by providing food donations or serving the meal with us. Contact Billie McClain at 913.558.2054 or billiemcclain@.

Grace Place Food Pantry This onsite food pantry at our church serves church members and members of our community when they are experiencing financial hardship. Make a difference by donating food or toiletries, or serving on the food pantry team. Contact Amy Hoiland at amyh@ or 816.795.8848, x349.

Nicaragua Partnership We sponsor the village of Los Pinos, Nicaragua in partnership with Rainbow Network. Our village sponsorship provides education, medical care, a feeding center, and microloans to the 80 families in the village.
