QUESTION 1

Write approximately 220 to 250 words about ONE of the topics given below. Make sure you make use of paragraphs. Write down the number of the topic that you choose as well as the title.

You are advised to spend approximately 50 minutes on this section.

QUESTION 2

Write about 120-150 words about ONE of the following topics. Write down the number and the heading of the text you have chosen to write.

Pay particular attention to language, tone, register, style and audience.

You are advised to spend approximately 40 minutes on this section.

1. INFORMAL LETTER – Write a letter to your best friend in which you tell him about something terrible that happened to you.

2. NEWSPAPER REPORT – You are a reporter. Your school received a bomb threat. Write an article about what happened.

3. SPEECH – You have been asked to give a speech about: How to spend money wisely as a teenager. Write out the speech that you will give.

4. DIALOGUE – Your friend accuses you of being a thief. Write the conversation you have with your friend.

5. DIARY – You went on a camp where you kept a diary. Write the diary entry for two days of the camp.
