PRIMETIME - WITF-TV

[Pages:8]TV & RADIO LISTINGS GUIDE

December 2019

PRIMETIME For more information go to tv

This month kicks off with

a series of fundraising specials as part of WITF's membership campaign held every December. Your support makes all the programming on WITF possible. Without your support, there would not be the same variety or quality of programming. Please consider an end of year gift to WITF! To make a gift, call us at 1-800-233-9483 or give online at givenow. Thank you for your on-going support of public media in central Pennsylvania. This month we provide an extension of the Broadway's Best series on Great Performances with an encore of Jesus Christ Superstar, Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn, and the Sound of Music. These performances join a stellar line-up that began earlier this fall. Great Performances' Broadway's Best are available through WITF Passport and select episodes will be repeated later in 2020. A variety of Christmas and Hanukkah specials are scattered throughout the schedule beginning December 16. I don't have enough space to detail all of them but be sure to look for a mix of documentary, music and children's programming. Don't miss the annual Call The Midwife episode airing Christmas evening at 9:00pm. Mother Mildred and the Nonnatus House team go to the Outer Hebrides in response to a nursing shortage. Navigating the terrain, they strive to keep up with the needs of the locals. A new season of Call The Midwife arrives on WITF in spring of 2020. An encore of the third season of Victoria on Masterpiece will broadcast Sunday nights beginning

??

LUCY WORSLEY'S 12 DAYS OF TUDOR CHRISTMAS DEC. 25 AT 8PM

December 22. Typically, we rebroadcast a previous season leading into the new season in January. Unfortunately, this will not occur this season. A fourth season of Victoria on Masterpiece is planned to occur although, it has not been produced yet. Actresses and actors in the series have been busy with other commitments making the production schedule to continue Victoria difficult.

Coming in January on Masterpiece

is an interpretation of Jane Austen's final and incomplete novel, written only months before her death in 1817. Sanditon on Masterpiece tells the story of the joyously impulsive, spirited and unconventional Charlotte Heywood and her spiky relationship with the humorous, charming Sidney Parker. We'll

learn more about the series next month.
