Ensuing the integration of new solutions with other existing products and services delivered by iSolutions.To implement, configure, maintain and support the use of specialist software tools, applications, equipment and resources in the area of the installed server and storage infrastructure systems and related technologies50%Documentation of ICT infrastructure and applications designs20%To advise the ESD Team Manager of Current and emerging products within the market place to meet identified needs.Suitable products within the commercial market place to meet identified needs, to identify gaps that the commercial marketplace cannot fill and to offer alternative solutions to a market approach as needed.15%To liaise with suppliers concerning the resolution of reported faults, the adoption of new versions and products and to advise iSolutions of developments being planned by suppliers.10%Any other duties as allocated by the line manager following consultation with the post holder.5%Internal and external relationshipsThe post-holder will be expected to undertake the duties as part of an integrated team and will be expected to adopt priorities and engage in activities, which promote the effective working of the whole team.The post-holder will be expected to liaise with relevant members of the University, suppliers as appropriate and with colleagues in other institutions and related organisations.It is expected that the duties will be performed in the light of the relevant activities in Higher Education generally.
