SSC 10 SSTV OPS - IMAGES RECEPTION

|1. After starting, the SSTV software is ready to automatically receive and store |
|images transmitted from ground stations. This condition is marked by the Auto-RECEIVE |

10.1 To disable automatic images reception,
Click on the STANDBY/ABORT button, or [S]

SSC 11 SSTV OPS – MANUAL IMAGES TRANSMISSIOn

|1. The duration of an image transmission depends on the SSTV standard selected. With |
|the ROBOT 36 standard (default mode) the transmission lasts about 45 seconds. |

|2. Performing a manual image transmission will abort any ongoing Slide Show / Beacon |
|mode, Repeater mode, or image reception. |
11.1 To transmit an image stored in the SSC,
sel Image to be transmitted from one of the Image Collections {IMAGES MANAGEMENT}

SSC 13 SSTV OPS – BEACON MODE

|1. Beacon mode is a special application of Slide Show mode, which requires a single |
|image to be stored in a separate directory. |

13.1 To enable the Slide Show mode for all the images contained in one directory,
Select in the USER Image Collection {IMAGES MANAGEMENT} the directory which contain the image to be transmitted in Beacon mode.
Verify that the Image Collection contains only one image.
Click on the Slide Show ON button, or [O]
An ongoing transmission will be completed.
13.2 To abort the ongoing transmission of an image,
Click on the STANDBY/ABORT button, or [S]
Beacon mode is disabled too.
If automatic reception is required,
Click on the Auto-RECEIVE button, or [A]
13.3 To disable the ongoing Beacon mode,
Click on the Slide Show OFF button, or [F]
An ongoing transmission will be completed.

SSC 15 SSTV OPS – IMAGES MANAGEMENT
IMAGES ARE MANAGED BY MEANS OF FIVE (5) PREDEFINED COLLECTIONS. FOUR (4) COLLECTIONS REFERS TO IMAGE FILES CONTAINED IN PREDEFINED DIRECTORIES. THE FIFTH COLLECTION CAN BE DIRECTED TO ANY USER DIRECTORY OF THE SSC.

Images management, apart from the automatic storage performed on received images, shall be performed by the crew by means of SSC file system tools (like Resource Explorer).
Any image in any collection, not in a CD-ROM file system, can be selected for transmission to Ground.

After a brief initialization the InstallShield Wizard for SpaceCam dialog box appears.

If the program has already been installed on the SSC,
the situation is recognized and the user is prompted to Modify/Repair/Remove the installation.
Before performing an installation, it is required for the existing one to be removed:
Select Remove and then Click on Next
Click on Remove
Removal of previous installation is performed
Click on Finish
Go to 19.5 to restart the installation
19.7 The program is to be installed in the default directory C:\Program Files\ISS HAM\SPACECAM. If a different directory is required then click on Change… and select/type a new installation directory
