SUBJECT: Announcement and invitation regarding a Basic Crisis Negotiation Course: July 13th-17th 2020, at Lynn Police Department, 300 Washington Street, Lynn, Massachusetts.

DETAILS: The Lynn Police Department will host a week-long Basic Crisis Negotiation Course offered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The training is designed for seasoned law enforcement personnel who will serve as crisis/hostage negotiators. The course is not intended for first responders or executive managers.

The course will be held at the Lynn Police Department and will commence at 9:00 am on July 13th 2020 and conclude at 5:00 pm on July 17th, 2020. The training includes classroom instruction, case studies, and role-play exercises. Nominees will be expected to actively participate.

The training is offered at no cost. Lodging, transportation, meals, or related expenses are the responsibility of participants and/or their agencies. Attire is business casual. There is not a group reservation rate for lodging. Convenient lodging options are the Hampton Inn Boston/Peabody at 59 Newbury Street, Peabody, MA or the Hilton Boston Logan Airport 1 Hotel Drive, Boston, MA.

Class size will be limited and interested agencies are encouraged to respond quickly. Response deadline is June 1, 2020.
