|TITLE:  Head of Financial Reporting & Information |

|TEAM/PROGRAMME: Finance |LOCATION: Nairobi, Kenya. 15-20% international travel. |

|ROLE PURPOSE: |

| |

|In this role you will lead the delivery of financial management reporting within Save the Children International. This will involve: |

|Owning the Finance data in the data warehouse and being accountable for its’ integrity; |

|Delivering regular reporting to business users; |

|Working with the Head of FP&A to deliver new templates; |

|Taking ownership of the delivery of management reporting (SCI management, Members, Board); |

|Designing and automating reports; |

|Reporting on organisational performance through standard analytical reports; and |

|Providing technical support to the regions/countries. |

|SCOPE OF ROLE: |

|Involves significant stakeholder management across Finance and IT, IP and Strategic projects. Some travel to UK and regional offices will be |

|required. |

|Manage the reporting team to deliver a first class service to SCA and SCI |

|Lead Finance input into IT team to deliver improvements to Agresso and data warehouse. |

|Financial Processes & systems |

|Be responsible for developing and implementing reporting policies and procedures |

|Business owner of the finance data warehouse |

|Develop globally applicable application tools and solutions to support regional and country finance teams in delivering on their |

|accountabilities |

|Work with other members of Finance and IT to ensure that the Agresso platform works well for regional and country office Finance users |

| |

|Financial planning and performance |

|Support the development of SCI’s planning and reporting processes, to ensure they are fit for a 21st century organisation to support |

|international program decision making |

|Collate strategic information to provide multi-year country plans |

|Produce accurate, reliable and timely regular financial performance reports for SCI and SCA management |

|coordinate the SCI reporting strategy including channels and platforms e.g. OneNet, Agresso, Excelerator and data warehouse. |

|Project support |

|Provide support to strategic finance projects (e.g. HPO) |

|Support the on-boarding of BAU reporting changes driven by strategic projects. |

|QUALIFICATIONS |

|Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/ACMA or equivalent)/equivalent experience |

|EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS |

|An experienced finance professional with significant exposure to working in an international setting – experience of Country office Finance |

|within a complex INGO or commercial organisation would be an advantage but is not essential. |

|Extensive experience of working collaboratively to raise the standards of a dispersed finance function |

|Proven experience of managing a strong team including the ability to delegate effectively, prioritise an often heavy workload and coach staff|

|to deliver a world class service |

|Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching |

|Highly developed cultural awareness, and used to dealing with colleagues at all levels of the business |

|Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mindsets |

|Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in |

|Willingness to undertake travel to country and regional offices for training, support and capacity-building purposes. Around 15-20%. |
