We value our team, our most important asset, who will support you to LEAD and be the best that you can be; LeadershipE EducationA Ambition D DevelopmentTERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICEAs laid down by Llan Healthcare Practice ANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:The GP Receptionist/Administrator will ultimately be responsible to the GPs but will be immediately responsible to the Practice Manager of Llan Healthcare. The post holder will ultimately be responsible for their own practice and must ensure that limitations are always acknowledged. Regular communication/updates should be provided to Practice Manager and Partners.The GP Receptionist/Administrator will work within a varied multi-skilled team assisting both medical and clerical personnel in the care of Practice patients, to include treatment, preventative care, screening and patient education at both Llanedeyrn Health Centre and Llanrumney Medical Centre. JOB SUMMARY:The GP Receptionist/Administrator will undertake varied clerical duties associated with the efficient running of the Health Centre, acting as a focal point of communication between patients, doctors, nurses and other members of the primary health care team. MAIN DUTIES : Undertake efficient reception and switchboard duties ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in an efficient, courteous and confidential mannerEnsure internal and external appointments are made within practice protocolCo-ordinate repeat prescribing and results requested and received via electronic workflow pathwaysUndertake both manual and electronic document filing, document scanning, note retrieval and copying of records Liaise between patients, doctors, nurses and other members of the primary health care team in all relevant matters or tasks being raised. Ensure waiting area and reception are kept tidy and safe at all timesRecord appropriately the receipt of over the counter private payments Assist in ongoing, seasonal and special projects as requested e.g. annual reviews, flu campaignParticipate and contribute to team and practice development meetingsAny other duties associated with the efficient administrative running of the PracticeThe above list of duties is intended to be a guide to the post and may not be exhaustive.REVIEW :The post will be reviewed periodically, in discussion between the Practice Manager and the post holder, in the light of experience and according to changing service needs. TRAINING :Training will commence with a thorough induction programme on recruitment, with further training appropriate to the role being offered.
