Develop a Health Career Program Admissions Plan

STEP

? Meet with a Tri-C academic counselor to develop a plan for completion of program prerequisites.

? Complete clinical observation hours or volunteer experience and program prerequisites as required by the program.

Apply to Your Program of Interest

? Submit a Health Careers Program application and any other required paperwork to the Metro Health Careers Enrollment Center (MHCS 118).

Please note: The health careers programs have a selective admission process and separate applications and requirements. Admission to Tri-C does not guarantee admission to a health career program.

Program "On-Boarding"

STEP ? Acceptance letters will be sent to accepted students.

? Check your e-mail regularly for updates on your program admission.

? Mail "letter of intent" to secure your position to your program manager.

? Complete criminal background check (BCI) within six months of entering the program*

? Attend the mandatory program orientation session.

? Notify program manager in writing, if your plans to enroll change prior to start date.

2.Review the admission requirements and prerequisites for

your program(s) of interest. Health careers are requirementbased programs with specific requirements that must be met prior to admission. Completion of a criminal background check is also required following program orientation. Information on course offerings, accreditation, policies, costs and more is available on specific program webpages.

3.Apply to Tri-C and work with your academic counselor to create

an academic plan to complete program prerequisites. A separate application for your program of choice is required. Be sure to complete all required paperwork and requirements for program admission in addition to the application for Tri-C.
