HIGH SCHOOL PLANIN-PERSON LEARNING MODELDEFINITION?For the In-Person learning model, all students return to school for face to face instruction. Schoology will be used for all classes with a common template.LUNCHStudents will eat lunch in the commons, gymnasium and other designated areas. The tables will be cleaned and sanitized after each lunch period.LOCKERSLockers will not be used and students will carry their backpacks to class with the necessary supplies.CLEANING and SANITIZINGThe desks/tables will be cleaned and sanitized between each class period by the classroom teachers. Computer labs will be cleaned and sanitized after each use by the instructors utilizing those spaces.High touch areas (doorknobs, stair rails, etc) will be cleaned and sanitized throughout the day by the custodial staff.HYBRID LEARNING MODELDEFINITIONIn a Hybrid Learning Model, all students participate in a combination of face-to-face instruction at school and distance learning from home. Instruction during face-to-face learning will be reinforced, enriched, and complemented by distance learning instruction.??Schools must limit the overall number of people at school and on buses to 50% maximum occupancy?during hybrid learning. Social distancing of six 6) feet must be in place at all times.? Distance learning is not e-learning. Both technology and paper/pencil assignments and delivery of instruction can be utilized during distance?learning.??All activities and extracurricular programs should follow the COVID-19 Prevention Guidance for Youth, Student, and Child Care Programs.?Decisions on learning model will be made by district administration in consultation with the Alexandria Public Schools COVID Response Team using the MDE “Informed Decision Making Guide for Learning Model Planning 2020-2021” document.Secondary Distance Learning: Students identified by school staff without internet capabilities or inability to engage in academic work are offered space to learn from school.? Special Education services will be determined by the individual education team. For further information, please refer to the information regarding special education services, within the Safe Schools Learning Plan.
