PROPOSAL ACCEPTANCE LETTER
2008 Heartland Professional Development Conference
““Weaving Today’s Talent into Tomorrow’s Workforce”
- A Tapestry of Opportunities -
Hilton at the Ballpark – St. Louis, MO – April 6-9, 2008
Your proposal for the 2008 Heartland Professional Development Conference has been accepted, we are pleased to have you has part of this important event. Workshop date and times will be assigned and confirmation sent in early February. We ask that you remain flexible on your workshop schedule.
The draft agenda below will provide an overview of the entire program. The Agenda is still a work in progress so changes are possible. You will be notified if changes occur but it is always a good idea to check the Symposium Program onsite. Right now, we are anticipating about 500 attendees with 4 blocks of 6-8 concurrent workshops and 2 blocks of 3 concurrent super sessions.
Please keep these points in mind when preparing your presentations:
• All communication will be with the Primary Presenter only. It is the Primary Presenter's responsibility to keep any co-presenters informed. If you received this e-mail you are considered the Primary Presenter.
• As stated on the Request for Proposal, presenters who will not be attending the full Conference may request a complimentary registration for the day of their presentation only. When registering, please mark payment option “waived” and a one-day pass for the day of your presentation will be provided. Your badge and symposium materials will be available at the Symposium Registration Desk on the lower level of the Millennium Hotel.
• Presenters and co-presenters attending the full Conference are required to pay the full registration fee.
• Overhead projector, screen/cart, easel, flipchart and markers will be provided as requested. All other A/V equipment - such as computers, LCD projectors, internet connections and VCRs - are the responsibility of the Primary Presenter and will need to be made directly with the audio visual company we select. I will send AV contact information and a pricing sheet when I send your workshop time and date confirmation.
• All workshop rooms will be set half classroom style (table and chairs) with theater seating in the back, a podium, microphone and head table at the front of the room unless otherwise requested.
If you have any content or agenda questions, feel free to contact me.
Thank You,
Denise Donnahoo
