Greetings families!
We would like to introduce the Room Parents for XXX's classroom. We are XXX and XXX, and we look forward to working with you this year.
We hope to have an email contact for every family so that we can communicate primarily via email. This will make it easier for all of us to stay in touch and to keep you updated on class activities, volunteer opportunities, and general class information. At your earliest convenience please email xxx at xxx with your name and your child’s name for our contact sheet.
We will also be collecting a monetary donation to be used to fund various activities in the classroom. Please note that all contributions are completely voluntary. There is no suggested contribution amount (maximum is $50/per classroom/per family), and each family is encouraged to give an amount that their family is comfortable with. Any and all donations are welcome and appreciated. To simplify this process, we are asking parents to provide a one time donation that will cover all of the activities and gifts for the whole year. Below is an outline of these activities:
• Winter wish list gifts-Items provided to the teacher in December for classroom needs.
• Teacher appreciation-Gifts created and presented to the teacher/aides in May.
• End of year gift-Gifts for the teacher/aides of a more personal nature presented in June.
• Teacher Appreciation Luncheon.
• Craft/activity supplies for craft projects throughout the year. These may include holiday and curriculum based theme units.
• Misc. classroom supplies-As needed.
Please send your donation by October 14 to (address xxx or via your child’s folder in an envelope marked xxx.
We are able to accept a MAXIMUM donation of $50 per family, per classroom. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with questions or suggestions. We look forward to a wonderful year.
