Directions:

• Begin each annotated bibliography with your research question. The question may change slightly with each annotated bibliography as your knowledge of the topic evolves.

• Double space

• MLA 8 Formatting directions, and proper documentation, can be found at the OWL website

• All entries must contain the following

o Proper documentation (work cited)

▪ Please refer to OWL, and write a correct works cited entry. DO NOT rely on a generator such as “” or what is provided for you in the databases, which is often

o Summary (paragraph one of your annotation)

▪ One paragraph, based on the rhetorical precis structure

o Significance/Analysis (this is paragraph two of your annotation)

▪ Why you believe this source to be credible and reliable (address author/publication)

▪ Address major appeals

▪ SAFE Model: how does this research fit the model?

▪ Hypothesize: how could you use this research in your paper?

▪ Address bias, accuracy, and date of publication if material is dated
