Adding/ Installing a New UPS Printer
Before YOU begin
Before using your UPS Thermal printer there are a number of pre-requisites that should be met in order to ensure adequate performance and reliable operation. We recommend that you read through the UPS Thermal User’s Manual to familiarize yourself with the functions of the printer. The manual provides all the information you will need to operate your printer on a daily basis.
Adding/ Installing a New UPS Printer
The following steps will guide you through the procedure for adding the UPS printer to be used UPS Online Worldship application.
1. Click on START, SETTINGS, PRINTERS…

2. Double click on ADD PRINTER…

3. Select “My Computer”, and click NEXT…

4. Select your port and then, Click on NEXT…
(If you are going through a COM port, please read below Configuring COM Port)

5. Click on “Have Disk”. Click on NEXT…

6. Locate file window will pop up. Click on CANCEL.

6. Click on BROWSE and path out to the Foss driver directory. Example: C:UPS/Common/Foss/Drivers. Select the Oemsetup file and click OPEN.
If the printer is connected via USB, select the USBprint file and click OPEN.

8. Select the UPS Thermal Printer you will be using from the list. Click NEXT.
Make sure you are selecting a UPS Thermal printer and not an Eltron printer.
If an Eltron printer is installed you will not be able to select standard UPS shipping label sizes.

9. Select “NO”, then click NEXT.

10. Click “NOT SHARED” (If being used with a single user application), and click NEXT.

11. Select “NO”, and click on FINISHED.
Configuring a COM Port
Instructions for Windows 95/98/ME Users

1. Click on the COM Port. Click on “Configure Port”.

2. Configure Port Settings as shown above. Make sure “Flow Control” is set to Xon/Xoff. Click APPLY or OK and then NEXT.
3. Now, go back and continue on to Step 5 for Adding/ Installing a New UPS Printer.
Instructions for Windows NT/2000/XP Users

1. Select the COM Port. Click on “Configure Port”.

2. Make sure the appropriate port is selected. Click on “Settings”.

3. Configure Port Settings as shown above. Make sure “Flow Control” is set to Xon/Xoff. Click OK and then NEXT.
4. Now, go back and continue on to Step 5 for Adding/ Installing a New UPS Printer.
Test Print from UPS Worldship
1. Open up the UPS Worldship application.

2. Click on TOOLS. From the drop down menu, select “System Preferences”.

3. Click on LABEL PRINTER SETUP.

4. Click on Change Label Printer.

5. Select the UPS Thermal Printer from the dropdown menu. Once you have
the printer selected click OK.

6. Select the correct label size for the printer from the drop down menu.
Click Apply.

7. Before printing a test label from Worldship, make sure the printer is on with a green light.
Click on Print Test Label. The printer should print a Test shipping label.
