1. Requirement Description

‘Payroll for North America’ indicator on the Job Data, Payroll page should be grayed out so that it may not be changed online. Otherwise, employees will not be selected in the payroll processes.

2. Business Need

Provide a justification for the requirement. Include information about frequency, volume, number of users impacted, etc.

Employees will not be selected in the payroll processes unless the payroll indicator is ‘Payroll for North America.’ If the de-centralized Agency HR Specialists have access to change this value, they may not pay all employees.

Due to the fact that the Job Data pages are available to all Agency HR Specialists and this field value is required in order for the employee to be processed by payroll, the HR module team recommends that the field be reduced to this only option.

Option 1. Train Agency HR Specialists to select the ‘North American Payroll’ value when hiring an employee. Create a query to be executed by Central Payroll during the payroll cycle to ensure all employees are setup to be paid using ‘North American Payroll’.
