This functionality is available from the HR Admin homepage. Select the Mange WFH Payment tile.If your school or staff are receiving the WFH payments automatically (as indicated above) and some or all employees are working onsite for their full weekly hours, you should stop the WFH payment by moving the “Stop Payment?” Slider against their name to YES. Points to NoteAn eligible employee who works remotely for part of their regular weekly hours and part onsite is eligible for the full WFH allowance payment. An employee who is absent on leave will not be paid the WFH Allowance. It is not necessary to ‘stop’ the payment for these employees. Record leave promptly to ensure the employee is paid correctly avoiding possible overpayments.Where the allowance is not being paid automatically as indicated in the table above and an employee is eligible to work remotely, send the name and employee ID to your Schools People Services team for manual update to their record. Alternatively send an email to the Schools HR – (your region name) email address found in the Global Address Listing.Victorian Government Schools Agreement 2017 – salary changes effective from 11 October 2020In accordance with the Victorian Government Schools Agreement 2017, salary and allowance increases applicable from the first full pay period on or after 1 October 2020 have been processed on eduPay and included in the payroll calculations for pay day 22 October 2020 for all DET and eligible SLP employees.Higher Duties allowances will be automatically recalculated where the salary grade and step has been entered in the higher duties element.Where an employee is hired/rehired with an effective date prior to 11 October 2020, a Global Salary increase (GSC) row will need to be manually inserted to apply the new rate from the GSC date. Registration was due on 30 September 2020 and is now overdue.Late payment fees may apply to registrations finalised after 30 September and before 31 December 2020.Teachers who have not finalised registration by 31 December 2020 may be unable to undertake teaching duties at the commencement of the 2021 school year.Schools can view the status of their teacher registration by viewing “My School” portal, available from the VIT website.Education Support Class employees who hold VIT Registration in lieu of a Working With Children Check must have renewed and updated eduPay by 30 September 2020. If not renewed by now a WWC Check card is required instead.Employees are to update their renewed VIT and/or WWC Check information using Employee Self Service on eduPay. There are no changes to the way the casual employment and compensation is to operate in Term 4. Previous arrangements continue to apply until otherwise advised. Access the report on eduPay at: Employee Data Management > Time Management > SLP Casual Eligibility Report The updated guidelines document is available on HRWeb: ?Casual Employment and Compensation Guidelines – School Local Payroll.Overpayment recovery for SLP employeesAn overpayment for an employee on the School Local Payroll must be repaid to the School Council bank account. On receipt of the overpayment funds, advise People Systems and Services of the repayment to your school bank account using the SLP Personal Repayment Advice form available on the Overpayments page on HRWeb.Do not provide the employee the Department’s bank details for an SLP overpayment. Funds received into the Department bank account cannot be adjusted against any SLP Overpayment or readily refunded or paid to the school.eduPay Hints and TipsCommonwealth Paid Parental LeaveA number of instances have occurred recently where the School Council ABN has been recorded by employees when applying for the Commonwealth Paid Parental Leave (PPL) payments. For Department employees the Department ABN must be used – 52 705 101 522, available on the DOE payslip. The submission is approved by Centrelink and following acceptance and receipt of the funds centrally the PPL payments are paid through the employee’s pay. This may include arrears if applicable.The School Council ABN is only provided where the applicant is employed solely on the SLP. Following acceptance by the school council and on receipt of the funds into the School Council bank account, contact the HR Service Centre for advice on how to process the payment to the employee.Higher Duties and Special Payment allocation and authorisationHigher DutiesPrincipals and business managers are reminded that periods of higher duties may be assigned for more than five days and up to twelve months. Assignments of more than three months are to be determined by a merit-based process as a result of an expression of interest. This ensures transparency and equity and that the position is open to competition. Refer to the Higher Duties page on HRWeb for further information. The new process on eduPay steps you through the process for the recording of higher duties. Details of the process and approval is to be attached to the entry.Action:Principals and Business Managers are to ensure the Department policy for assigning higher duties, record management and documentation is followed and available for audit. Special PaymentsA special payment may only be paid to employees in the teacher, paraprofessional and education support classes to undertake a specific task that is additional to their normal work responsibilities at their classification level and salary range or paid as an attraction/retention incentive. A Principal or Assistant Principal is not eligible to be paid a special payment.Refer to the Special Payments page on HRWeb for policy and further information, including details on the selection of eligible employees, when assigning a special payment. The new process in eduPay to allocate Special Payments is also designed to only allow eligible employees to be paid a special payment within the specified minimum/maximum amounts.
