What is the BTNX COVID-19 Rapid Test?

It is a type of antigen test that detects proteins from the

virus that causes COVID-19 in samples collected using a

nose swab.

Why is testing multiple times

recommended?

After an exposure to COVID-19, it takes time for a person¡¯s

body to develop enough of the protein to be detectable by a

rapid test.

Repeated screening can detect infection as soon as possible

so individuals can immediately isolate and prevent the spread

of transmission.

When do I use the tests?

As long as you continue to have no symptoms, you will

perform the rapid tests twice per week, 72 hours apart for

two weeks. For example, Sunday and Wednesday or Monday

and Thursday.

The fifth test is provided as a spare that can be used in the

event of an invalid result.

Can I use these tests to enter a business

participating in the Restrictions

Exemption Program?

No. Unvaccinated individuals who wish to enter an

organization participating in the Restrictions Exemption

Program must pay to obtain a negative COVID-19 test through

a private vendor.

How do I use the test?

What do I do if I have a negative result?

To use the test, follow the instructions for Option B: Nasal

Swab, on the BTNX Procedure Card in this kit (do not follow

instructions for Option A: Nasopharyngeal Swab).

On your test device, if your result shows one line at the ¡®C¡¯

and no line at the ¡®T¡¯ mark, it is presumed to be negative.

POSITIVE examples in your Procedure Card, the test may

not have worked. Re-test until you receive a positive or

negative result.

that you could still have COVID-19 even though the test

is negative. While you are not required to isolate, you must

continue to follow all public health guidelines.
