DB2 UDB Enterprise Server Edition 8.2 Setup Guide
Note: You cannot use ghosting or disk imaging to install this software. You must install the software on each machine separately.
1. Copy the contents of the DB2 UDB ESE v8.2 CD to C:\Software.
2. Browse to C:\Software\DB2_8_2_ESE and launch setup.exe.
The IBM DB2 Setup Launchpad page will appear.

3. Click Install Product.
The Setup page will appear.

4. The DB2 UDB Enterprise Server Edition will be selected, click Next.
Wait a few seconds until the Welcome to the DB2 Setup wizard page appears.

5. Click Next.
6. The Licence Agreement page will appear. Select I accept the terms of the license agreement.

7. Click Next.
The Select the installation type page will appear.

8. Leave the Typical installation selected and click Next.
The Select the installation action page will appear.

9. Leave Install DB2 Enterprise Server Edition selected and click Next.
The Select installation folder page will appear.

10. Leave the default directory and click Next.
11. The Set user information for the DB2 Administrator Server page will appear. Change the Password (and Confirm Password) to db2admin

12. Click Next.

13. Accept the defaults and click Next.
A Warning window will appear telling you that no SMTP server has been specified.

14. Click OK.
The Configure DB2 instances page will appear.

15. Click Next.
16. In the Prepare theDB2 tools catalog page, leave Do not prepare the DB2 tools catalog on this computer selected and click Next.
The Specify a local database to store the DB2 tools catalog page will appear.

17. Click Next.
18. At the Specify a contact for health monitor notification page, select the Defer the task until after installation is complete radio button. [pic]
19. Click Next.
The Starting copying files page will appear.

20. Click Install and DB2 will begin installing. This will take some minutes.
Eventually, the Setup is complete page will appear.

21. Click Finish.
22. The First Steps Launchpad will appear followed by a DB2 Product Updates dialog.

23. Click No to close the DB2 Product Updates dialog and ignore the product updates.
24. Click the Exit First Steps button to close the IBM DB2 First Steps Launchpad dialog.

25. Restart the computer.
26. Log on as wasadmin with password is also wasadmin.
