Internet Explorer Settings

PeerTrack is accessed through a web browser and is limited by the features and functions made available by that web browser. The following provides a list of suggested browser settings for ideal function with the PeerTrack system.

Compatibility View

Click on Tools – Compatibility View Settings and add the site URL you are working with.

Safe Site Listing

Go to Tools – Internet Options – Security tab, click on the green checkmark that says Trusted Sites, then click on the word Sites and add the site URL you are working with.

Remove Toolbars and Add-ons

Go to Tools – Internet Options – Programs tab, click on the Manage Add-ons button at the bottom. A window will pull up listing all of the browser add-ons currently installed. We have found that and google will cause issues with using the site. Remove as many of the add-ons as you can for ideal performance inside the system.

Allow Pop-ups

In many cases, just pressing and holding down the ctrl key while you click on a view link will automatically allow that specific pop-up or file download.

Also, you can to go to Tools – Internet Options – Privacy tab, click on the Settings button next to the Pop-up Blocker, type in the address of the site you are working with and add it to the list.

Allow File download

Go to Tools – Internet Options – Security Tab – Custom level – and find the options for Downloads

• Set “Automatic prompting for file downloads” to Enable

• Set “ File Downloads” – set to Enable

Clearing your Temporary Internet Files cache

On occasion, your browser may be storing an older version of a page or activity. To clear out your cache, you can delete all of you temporary internet files. Be warned this may affect passwords and information you have saved on all of the websites you access.

Go to Tools – Internet Options – General Files, click the delete files button.

Allowing IE to save temporary files from EM

Go to Tools – Internet Options – General – Advanced tab, check off the box for “Do not save encrypted pages to disk”.
