Things to Watch for in 4th Grade!

Your child will bring home a newsletter each Monday. Please look it over so that you are aware of what’s going on in the classroom.

Don’t forget to check and sign your child’s planner each night! We ask for signatures, not parent initials. Thanks for your help.

We have websites that we update weekly. Please try to look at it weekly. You will find our newsletters, spelling list, and websites that go along with what we are learning in class. Login information is on the back of this newsletter.

Please take time to check your child’s grades on Infinite Campus. We update grades regularly. If you don’t have a username and password, contact dstencel@. This way you will not have to wait until report cards are issued to see how your child is doing in class and there will be no surprises! (

If your child brings a snack to school for milk break, please make sure it’s a healthy snack. No candy is allowed at snack time.

Help Wanted!

Please send $5.00 to school with your child the first week of school. This money will be used for holiday parties and activities. Any time money is sent to school, please put it in an envelope and put your child’s name on it, along with what it is for. This helps make sure everything ends up in the right place.

Book orders will be sent home monthly. You may order books online at Scholastic, or send the order to school with a check made to “Scholastic Books”.

We go on many field trips in 4th grade! We will be looking for chaperones for lots of the field trips!

If you didn’t bring all needed forms to pre-conferences, be sure to send them along with your child the first day of school. Thanks!

During the first week of school, we’ll discuss our 3 basic expectations of all 4th graders to help them “Soar Like an Eagle”!

Be respectful!

Be responsible!

Be safe!

We will review school routines and procedures, and be doing some fun activities to get back into the swing of the new year!

Please feel free to contact either 4th grade teacher if you have any questions or concerns throughout the year at:

whowieson@

Email is the best way to reach us! We both check our email periodically throughout the day and at home. My number here at school is
