Podcast Seeks Woman-Identifying Geoscientist for Host Position Apply by September 18, 12:00 (pm) Eastern Time

Do you have an incredible knowledge of remote sensing in science and engineering? Are you enthusiastic about earth science? Would you absolutely LOVE the chance to chat with accomplished geoscientists about their work and their careers? Then submit your application to HOST an upcoming geoscience podcast, by geoscientists, for geoscientists!

In this role, you will work closely with the Podcast Producer to research podcast guests, prepare interview questions & scripts, and record interviews. This role is an independent contractor role of 64 hours at a rate of $30/hour CAD (plus sales tax for individuals working within Canada; without sales tax for individuals working abroad). Work will be conducted from home and scheduled according to the host & guests' availability. This contract starts September 23, 2020 and continues into early November 2020.

Qualifications: We're looking for someone who:

? Identifies as a woman ? Is an excellent listener ? Can research and understand geoscience information, especially scientific/engineering

research/work not in their specific field ? Is enthusiastic and passionate, with an engaging and relatable personality ? Is a great conversationalist, with solid English speaking skills ? Is compassionate, curious, and open-minded

For this role, you will need access to a laptop or desktop computer that can run video-based online programs such as Zoom and Google Meetings, and a very reliable high-speed internet connection. A pair of headphones and a USB microphone will be provided.

Previous podcast hosting experience is NOT necessary, but definitely a bonus! Also, it's an asset if you're someone who's active on social media (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).

Please note: Interviews for the podcast host position will take place September 20 - 22 between 7:00(am) and 19:00 (7pm) Eastern Time. Please ensure you hold some availability on one of these days.

Our interview selection process will require a quick turnaround. Individuals selected for an interview will receive notice by end of day (Eastern Time) on September 18 and will be asked to select an interview day/time from a set of options by end of day (Eastern Time) September 19.
