Conflicts of Interest/Financial Disclosure Policy

Conflicts of Interest and Financial Disclosures

A conflict of interest whether real or perceived may exist when an author (or the author’s institution or employer) has financial or personal relationships or affiliations that could influence (or bias) the author’s decisions, work, or manuscript. These conflicts of interest may involve: advising individuals or organizations on financial, investment, or other business matters related to the design, data analysis, and/or outcomes of the study; interest in products or services used or tested in the study described; interest in products or services that would be affected in a major way by the study outcome; etc. The Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology is neither an investigative nor an adjudicative entity and cannot police such potential conflicts.

Possible conflicts of interest may include:

1. Being a paid or unpaid employee, consultant, advisor, speaker, researcher, contractor, grantee, or collaborator -- either full time, part-time, or on a one-time basis – for these organizations.

2. Serving as an officer, director, trustee, or general partner for the organizations.

3. Involvement in any litigation in any capacity for the organizations.

4. Having financial (stocks, etc.) or intellectual property (royalties, etc.) interests in these organizations.

Our policy is that our authors must submit “relevant” (actual or potential conflicts of interest related to the content and conclusions of this paper) conflicts of interest and financial disclosure information for ALL Authors, either on the title page of the manuscript, in a separate document submitted online at submission, or emailed to the Journal Editorial Office (barbara.kern@tufts.edu).

All Authors must also sign the “Author Responsibility, Financial Disclosure, and Copyright Transfer” form prior to final acceptance of their manuscript (http:jcp. or ).

Conflicts of interest/financial disclosure information provided by authors will be included under the heading “Author Disclosure Information” at the end of their article when it is published. If the authors indicate no disclosure information, the statement “The authors declare no conflicts of interest.” will be included.
