The number of HMH inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 or are awaiting COVID-19 test results has decreased .56% since yesterday. This statistic includes our long-term care facilities. The volume of COVID-19 patients at our hospitals decreased 1.4%. Although this is the second day where our numbers declined, it is too early to determine whether or not this trend will continue.

New: Third Medical Group Drive-thru Testing Site Opens

Yesterday, a third centralized HMH Medical Group drive-thru COVID-19 testing site opened at the outpatient imaging center on the JFK campus located across from 80 James Street in Edison. There is now a Medical Group drivethru location in each region. The site in the northern region is at Hackensack Meridian Health Fitness and Wellness Center in Maywood on Route 17 and the southern region site is located at HMH Health Village in Jackson.

Medical Group physicians at practices in the area will conduct telehealth screening visits with patients to identify and schedule appropriate appointments for COVID-19 testing. These sites are only for HMH Medical Group patients who have been prescreened and have an appointment; however, we will also accommodate HMH occupational health requests for team members as well as local first responders.

New: You Asked, We Answered ? HR Leadership Webinar

When will merit increases go into effect? Merit increases for all eligible team members (exception of those with other dates defined by collective bargaining agreements) will go into effect on May 3, 2020 and will be reflected in paychecks beginning May 22, 2020. Your leader will discuss and/or notify you of your specific merit increase as part of the annual performance review process.

Can I work from home? HMH has implemented a temporary work from home process during the COVID-19 pandemic. Team members should speak with their leaders regarding whether or not they are eligible to work from home. It is important to note that although some positions may be approved to work from home, team members can be reassigned to areas needing coverage. This is part of a comprehensive strategy to ensure that our front line team members have the help and support they need to care for our patients.

What is the process to carryover my PTO balance if I am approaching my anniversary date? Any team member with an anniversary date of April 5 ? June 1, 2020 will automatically have their time carried over and do not need to complete a request for an exception. For those team members who had an anniversary from April 1 ? 4, 2020, we are working to restore any time in excess over 80 hours (or part-time, pro-rated maximum) that may have been forfeited based upon the PTO carryover limit policy. Please note, you do not need to complete an exemption form for this adjustment.

Can I change my Dependent Care Account contributions as my situation has changed due to COVID-19? When there is a change in cost of a dependent care provider or if you change your dependent care provider, the plan allows for a change in your election. There are a variety of ways that you can consider changing your Dependent Care FSA elections at this time to support your current day care needs:

- Suspend your election. If your day care has closed during this time and is not billing you for services, you may consider suspending your election. Should you choose to do this you may reelect once your day care services resume.

- Modify your election. You may increase or decrease your election. - Add an election. Should your family needs require that you seek new provider services that

have a cost, you may add an election. This would include if an in-home family member who is caring for your child while you are working.

You can make changes to your election by completing and returning the Change Request form.

Dr. Sable shared ways community members can help by donating PPE, making a donation to the local hospital foundation or sharing a positive message with team members over social media. The advice he gave for what people should do during this time was to stay home, call ahead before going to the ER so they can prepare, call your primary care physician or utilize telemedicine if you aren't feeling well.
