Job Purpose

To support the delivery of a customer focused, efficient and effective International Admissions and Enrolment function for Undergraduate and Postgraduate applicants through

day to day management and development of the International Admissions & Enrolment team workflow management to ensure all activities are delivered to agreed standards identifying and championing opportunities for continuous service improvement to maximise

international recruitment and satisfaction developing and delivering a culture of customer care ensuring continued UKVI compliance

Main Activities

1. To work in collaboration with the Head of Admissions and Enrolment to plan the delivery of the International Undergraduate and Postgraduate Admissions and Enrolment experience

2. To lead an annual review of service delivery; making recommendations for change and implementing approved changes

3. To lead the day to day supervision of a team of staff in Admissions, providing a high quality, professional and customer centred service for International students seeking admission to the University's undergraduate and postgraduate courses

4. To manage the day to day delivery of the International Undergraduate and Postgraduate Admissions and Enrolment experience, developing a culture of customer service excellence taking into account cultural differences and developing expert international knowledge across the team

5. To develop, monitor and manage against agreed customer service standards, for example turnaround times, customer journey, application workflows etc

6. To support the process for developing and agreeing entry criteria, offer making strategies and communication plans

7. To work closely with the International Recruitment Office and International Student Support to ensure the International student journey is a cohesive experience through the transition from enquirer to student

8. To maintain an extensive and up to date understanding of UKVI legislation, working in close collaboration with colleague across the University to ensure our processes and procedures are compliant and safeguard our HTS (Highly Trusted Status)

9. To be the main point of responsibility for the determination of CAS issuing within the team, escalating any boarder line cases to the Head of Admissions and Enrolment as appropriate

10. To provide a high level of admissions expertise when dealing with non-standard and complex queries relating to admission and enrolment for International students for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses

11. To be expert in International qualifications for our main recruiting markets, ensuring this expertise is developed across the International Admissions and Enrolment team

12. To work closely with the other Admissions and Enrolment Managers to ensure cycle requirements, deadlines etc are understood and taken into account for International applicants

13. To champion International applicant requirements in any change initiatives that affect apply, admission and enrolment to the University

14. To provide expert advice to Schools, Marketing, Quality and the Admissions and Enrolment Coordinator to ensure correct course set up and publication of International recruiting courses

15. To support the broader Recruitment and Admissions team in enhancing their knowledge and understanding of the University's international provision and processes for admission and enrolment

16. To deputise for the Head of Admissions & Enrolment in their absence

17. To keep up to date and proactive on relevant admissions and sector related developments

18. To support and participate in projects and development work across the Service as required, providing professional opinion and advice

19. To participate in key University events including Open Days, Award Ceremonies, Enrolment and other Recruitment events

20. To maintain a working knowledge of Home/EU Undergraduate and Postgraduate admissions to enable self and team to provide support across the broader Admissions and Enrolment team as and when required

21. Any other duties or responsibilities as may reasonably be required by the Director of Recruitment and Admissions

Special Conditions The role holder may be required to travel between sites from time to time in a cost effective manner, which may be through the use of a car.
