Cowan & Associates, Inc. (C&A) supports a Pentagon Headquarters-level IT organization – Joint Staff Information Management Division (JS IMD) with a full range of activities to, as described below, and has an immediate requirement for a Knowledge Management (KM) Subject Matter Expert (SME)Qualifications:Undergraduate degree.Minimum of five (5) years Knowledge Management (KM) and Change Management rmation Professional Certification (IPC) and/or Knowledge Management (KM) Certification highly Secret security clearance.Experience in fundamental Knowledge Management (KM) practices in support of enterprise content solutions to mature JS information management operations:Able to draft Content Management (CM) Policies and support its development incorporating KM principles and practices;Inform and promote CM requirements and changes in policy;Create, analyze review and make recommendations to modify business practices and its development;Advise, Analyze and refine CM and KM Training;Apply Project Management Principles and Integration;Communicate plans, goals, risks and achievements; andProvide administrative support and follow procedures as mandated by CM policy and industry standards.Experience in and knowledge of CM application programs, tools, and techniques to support information management operations that produce a variety of documents and information like social media content, letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, graphs, and electronic mail/messaging, images, audio, video, etc.Demonstrated technical experience and skills supporting SharePoint 2010 or greater, Documentum, Metastorm, Alfresco, Adobe Connect, Transverse Chat and other document repositories and IT tools to include but not limited to:Creating and designing portal sites;Organizing and displaying content for specific audiences;Gathering and tracking user requirements;Providing site maintenance; andServing as a bridge between users and technical support.Demonstrated knowledge and project management experience to facilitate and communicate to multiple audience levels in both oral and written formats; serve in an advisory role.Demonstrated experience working in a matrix or team based organizational structure.Demonstrated knowledge and project management experience to facilitate and communicate to multiple audience levels in both oral and written formats; serve in an advisory role.Demonstrated experience working in a matrix or team based organizational structure.Three (3) years of professional experience providing analysis at higher level military staffs, preferably Pentagon or Washington, DC area. Excellent analytical skills. Executes basic technical tasks, and applies analytical problem solving methodologies. Assist in the development of procedures and protocols for conducting analyses. Expert at Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets and Word. Excellent customer service and communications skills, both oral and written.Technical experience and skills supporting Lync or Skype for BusinessExpert at Microsoft Office Suites Access and One-NoteEducation: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study preferred. Personnel Security Requirements: U.S. Citizen and required to have a current Top Secret clearance.Place of Performance: On-site at Pentagon in Washington, DC.
