Lab 1, part 2b-ii.

[Note to Graders:

You may need to view the document at a zoom of 200% or 300% to read the student’s name in the image.

Text: The text “I Did My Homework” should be larger then the text of the student’s name. How much larger does not matter and what font does not matter. The text should be centered.

Screen Capture: The Status Bar must be visible, the Standard Buttons and the Address Bar must also be visible. Some of the background must be visible. It does not matter what the background is, it does not matter what side of the screen the icons are on. It does not matter what part of the background is visible (left side like mine or right side like in the book).

Figure label: Must be Lab 1, part 2b-ii. It does not matter what color, font, or alignment is used.

All this together is 5 points.

Screen Capture: The file window must be in the Folders display mode.

The window title, the address, and, the folders hierarchy must all show that the folder being displayed is: YourFirstName-Windows Information.

One of which must be: CS150-Lab1-YourFirstName-YourLastName.doc.

The file view mode must be Details (as is seen by name, size, type, ....) categories just below the address bar. It does not matter what categories are selected for display and which fit on the screen.

It does matter whether the window is maximized.

All this together is 3 points.

“Astronauts report it feels good – T-20 seconds...”

This is a quotation an audio clip titled “Sounds from Apollo 11” found on the web at:

Lab 1, part 5c-v

[Note to Graders:

Text: As graders, you do not need to listen to a bunch of audio to verify that the quote is really from Apollo 11. Just make sure that the text is there, quoted and that its source is referenced.

The first results returned by Ask Jeeves are invariably recordings that are for sale. The students are welcome to purchase any of these, but if they scroll down they will find free recordings from NASA.
