Howdy Brother Knights:
September is upon us and so is the Notre Dame Catholic School Annual Festival and Bar-B-Que on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22. That means it is time for the Knights to cook and serve turkey legs, as well as hamburgers and hot dogs. Be sure to volunteer, and sign up for a time you can help on Saturday and Sunday. We will also need manpower for setup on Friday evening and tear down Sunday evening and Monday. Please pitch in. It is fun and rewarding.
Brother Mitch Lockwood completed the most successful Diaper Driver ever. Congratulations to Mitch for receiving the Knight of the Month recognition in August. And thanks to Brother Frank Bertagnolli for taking the Diaper Drive effort to the VA congregation. A big thank you to all who helped man the tables after the masses. Job well done.
We had a really good turnout at the Pro-Life Rosary. Congratulations to Brother Hank and Carol Lyon for being recognized as Family of the Month in August. The Pro-Life Rosary is the first Saturday of each month beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the church. Please let Brother Hank know if you can help with the next Pro-Life Rosary on Saturday, September 7.
Raffle ticket sales at Gibson's are going very well so far. We have two dates in September, both on Saturday, September 7 and 28. Let Brother Kody Kubola know when you can be there to help. A good group showed up on Sunday, August 25. Brother Hank, thanks for taking care of the Friday sales.
Remember to give new member applications (Form 100) to me for the Admissions Committee prior to the individual's membership nomination.
ASK SOMEONE TO JOIN US.
In Service to One-In service to all
Melvin Jones, Grand Knight

We have a lot of veterans in the council and assembly as well as a few brothers as patients at the hospital. Fellow veterans, come and help entertain the patients. We have a core group of volunteers but we could use a few more hands for July 10th. Thank you from the Knights of Columbus
Knights of Columbus Council 6409 would like to thank everyone who donated diapers, wipes, and/or money to the 11th Annual Pro-Life Diaper Drive. The Drive was very successful and so many families in Kerr County will be blessed because of you. We appreciate you and pray for you.
Many diapers and wipes were collected as well as $3,765.80 to purchase many more in the coming year.
Special thanks to Mitch Lockwood for his leadership, Fr. David for his support, the Knights who helped man the tables, the volunteers of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and The Parenting Resource Center for distributing the diapers, and Frank Bertagnolli for taking the Diaper Drive to the VA Hospital!
God bless you and see you next year!
