Students will be responsible for keeping up with daily journal entries as well as coming fully prepared to participate in the seminar.

The Grading Rubric and student expectations are as follows:

1. Journal Entries are dated chronologically and accounted for.

(absent students will be expected to make up any missed headlines)

2. Journal Entries are located in a composition or 1 subject spiral notebook and kept in the classroom.

3. Handwriting will be neat and readable

4. Each entry will be on a separate page

5. Journals will reflect the students “best effort”

The “Civil Discourse” Seminar student expectations will be determined before the seminar and distributed to students to help in its preparation.
