Jones-Henderson, Executive Director Emergency Manager, Human Resources Department Dr. Pete Morikis PLEASE POST PLEASE POST POSITION:Elementary Lead Teacher for Internal Applicants only (multiple positions available)REPORTS TO: PrincipalJOB STATUS:Full Time, 10 month position SALARY: $1,000 Stipend (in addition to teacher salary) PURPOSE STATEMENTThe Elementary Lead Teacher will lead the process for implementing the MTSS program within the assigned elementary school and work closely with other team members as the MTSS designee.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only, and is not a comprehensive listing of all the duties and responsibilities performed by this position.Lead grade level meetings within assigned elementary building that must include classroom teachers, and may include other administration, clinicians, behavior specialists, or special education teachers as necessary.Use data provided by classroom teachers to tier students within each grade level academically taking into account social, emotional and background information.Identify through data students that fall into tier 2 or tier 3.Disseminate a variety of instructional techniques and teaching strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students, including whole group (co-teaching)/ small-group or individual learning that can be used by classroom teachers for students in tier 2 or 3.Maintain and monitor tier 2 and tier 3 students for improvement in the general education classroom.Maintain and collect documentation of MTSS forms for tier 3 students that require a meeting with the MTSS team of lead teacher, principal, parents, and any other clinician or staff necessary.Create MTSS intervention plans; set response to intervention goals and interventions to be used.Schedule follow up meetings for all students referred. Maintain all documentation of MTSS related data and meetings at the elementary building for no less than 5 years. Perform other functions that may be assigned by direct supervisors listed above or other administration.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
