NOTIFICATION OF UPDATE TO APPROVED EMISSIONS MODIFICATION FOR 3.0L ECODIESEL VEHICLES

Dear [Name],

At FCA US LLC, we recognize that the success of our business depends on the satisfaction of our customers. Our records indicate that you own or lease [1] a model year 2014-2016 Ram 1500 or Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicle equipped with a 3.0L diesel engine (EcoDiesel) and that you recently had an authorized Chrysler/Dodge/ Jeep?/Ram dealership perform Emissions Recall V08/V11 to install the Approved Emissions Modification ("AEM"). As you may recall, FCA US offered you the AEM pursuant to a court-approved agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) that required changes to the emission control system software intended to ensure that the vehicles' emissions are in compliance with the emissions standards to which they were originally certified. We write to notify you that an update to this AEM is available. FCA US will provide the updated AEM at no additional cost to you. If you receive the updated AEM, you will also receive an extension of your warranty, as further described below.

WHY DOES MY VEHICLE NEED REPAIRS?

The AEM installed on your vehicle may cause a slight hesitation or lag in acceleration during approximately the initial five minutes of driving after engine start until the engine and exhaust warm up. This problem, which has been reported by only a small percentage of drivers, has been addressed by an updated AEM that the EPA and CARB approved in December of 2019. FCA will install this updated AEM on your EcoDiesel vehicle at no cost to you. With the updated AEM, for a short period of time after engine start, some customers may have to depress the accelerator pedal further to minimize any hesitation or lag in acceleration.

WILL I RECEIVE AN EXTENSION TO THE WARRANTY IF I COMPLETE THE UPDATED AEM?

Yes, FCA US will extend your existing AEM warranty after you complete the updated AEM. The details of your AEM warranty, including the parts and systems covered by the warranty, are described in a notice that FCA US previously provided to you, and are also available online at .

Your existing AEM warranty remains in effect, and, once the updated AEM described in this notice is installed in your vehicle, FCA US will extend the 4 year or 48,000 mile warranty by an additional 12 months or 12,000 miles, from the date and mileage that your vehicle received the original AEM. Accordingly, for those vehicles that first received the original AEM and then receive this updated AEM, the Extended Warranty period is the greater of: (i) 10 years from the date of initial sale or 120,000 actual miles on the vehicle odometer, whichever comes first; and (ii) 5 years or 60,000 miles from the date and mileage of installing the original AEM on the vehicle, whichever comes first. HOW DO I RECEIVE THE UPDATED AEM? To install the updated AEM, your dealer will reprogram the engine control module in your vehicle. The work will take approximately 1 hour to complete, although additional time may be necessary depending on service schedules. FCA will provide a loaner vehicle at no cost if your service is scheduled to take longer than three hours or is not complete within three hours of the scheduled start of the appointment. If you receive a loaner vehicle, you will have 24 hours to return the vehicle from the time FCA notifies you that the service is complete. Please bring this

letter with you to your dealership.
