Instructions

Overview: This is basically a decoder” type of game. The teacher or instructor types in the words or phrases, prints out the page, and then the students must decode.

Directions:

1. Open the Scrambled Words File. There are four different files. You can choose any of them. Some are harder to pick out the correct letter than others.

2. Type the words or phrases you want the students to decode into the blank section at the top of the page. You can change the size of the coded letters if you wish.

3. It is recommended that you leave a space between each letter and two spaces between each word. This makes it easier to write the correct letter above the code letter

4. * Important *- Only use all lower case letters. The decoder at the bottom is only for lower case letters. If you want upper case letters you will need to manually go into the key code at the bottom and add some capitol letters.

Optional Presentation Tip:

If you are currently not able to make print copies, you can project the page on the overhead or on a computer projector and then let the students complete it at their seats using their own paper.
