User Guide – Performance Management – Employee Goal SettingTo set goals in the performance management system, follow these steps:Once the process in Workday has been initiated, you will receive an email notification stating you need to log into the system to complete Goal Setting. (screenshot 0a)0a – GoalsLog into Workday and go to your “All About Me” page (screenshot 1a)Select the “All About Me” icon in the top right cornerSelect the “Inbox” worklet. From here you should be able to view any pending inbox items. Select “Open” on the Goal Setting inbox item.1a – GoalsTo complete your goal setting, you can either select “Go to Guided Editor” or “Go to Summary Editor”. We suggest selecting “Go to Guided Editor” because it will guide you through the goal setting process.Select “Go to Guided Editor” (screenshot 3a)3a - GoalsOn the Goals tab, select the green “+” sign to enter your goals (screenshot 4a)Select the “Add New Goal” field to enter your goal information (screenshot 4b)4a - Goals4b- GoalsEnter goal informationPopulate the required fields: Goal, Measurement Criteria, Goal Type, Due Date, and Status. (screenshot 5a)The field goal type should be populated with Organizational Goal, Strategic Goal, or Individual Goal. (screenshot 5b)When finished, select “Done”.NOTE: Developmental Goals will be added on the Development Goals tab in Workday. Do NOT add these goals on the Goals tab.NOTE: The “Pull In Goal” or “Add Existing Goal” functionality only applies if you already have goals entered into the system.5a-Goals5b – GoalsRepeat steps 4-5 until all your goals are entered into the system (screenshot 6a)6a – GoalsOnce all your goals are entered, select the “Development Goals” tab or select the grey arrow to proceed to the next section. (screenshot 11a)11a – Development Goals The summary view will give you a final look at all the goals you have entered. If you would like to edit any goals, you can do so by clicking directly on the goal (click twice). If you would like to go back to the guided view, select the “Guide Me” button next to each section. (screenshot 12a)If you would like to start from the beginning, you can select “Return to Start”.If you would like to save your work for later, select the “Done for Now” link.When you are ready to continue with the process, you will log back into Workday and have an item in your inbox again. Select “Open” to start with the guided editor or the summary editor.12a – Goals To complete your goal setting and send to your manager for approval, select Finish.
