YMCA PROJECT GRADUATION - Class of 2017

Attention Gulf Coast High Parents of Students in 12th grade:

On Friday May 26th, 2017, we will celebrate the 32nd Anniversary of the YMCA’s Project Graduation, one of the nation's longest running, drug and alcohol-free celebrations. Project Graduation is a community tribute to graduating seniors from all Collier County public & private high schools. This is a great opportunity for you to help provide a safe environment for our youth to PARTY on a night they are entitled to celebrate!

The Greater Naples YMCA has hosted this event since 1985 which includes an all night (11 pm-4 am) party free of drugs and alcohol. Our success each year depends solely on the support and generosity of high school parents, community leaders, businesses, law enforcement officials and graduating seniors.

We need your help! Each of the high schools represented is responsible for a specific station. We will need at least 30 volunteers for one or more shifts the night of the event. Please refer to the attached Parent Volunteer response form to sign up and for more details. GCHS is also responsible for acquiring (50) ‘graduate friendly’ prizes @$25.00 value and monetary donations. We need your help soliciting for these items.

Monetary donations can be made by check or online at

naples/naples-project-graduation.html

Please make checks payable to YMCA of the Palms and remit to:

Greater Naples YMCA, 5450 YMCA Road, Naples, FL 34109.

Please indicate GCHS in the memo section of your check.

What can your graduating senior expect? The Project Graduation celebration includes a ‘never ending’ buffet provided by local restaurants; action-packed activities including Mechanical Bull Ride, Laser Battle, Rock Wall, Jousting, Karaoke, Magician, Caricature Artists, Face/Tattoo Painting, DJ, Dancing, Game Room, Photo Booth; and over 300 prize giveaways for the Graduates. A cash prize of $500 to $1,000 (depending on school size) will be awarded to ONE graduate from each high school. Additional grand prizes will be ‘drawn at dawn’! This year, one lucky senior will also go home with a car! The entrance ticket for Project Graduation is a special t-shirt, which will be sold to graduating seniors starting May 2016. Thank you in advance for your consideration to volunteer and/or contribute to this milestone celebration!
