Spring Break Information Letter

Dear Parents and Players,

The 2017 Brighton High Baseball team has been invited to participate in the Greenway High School Baseball Festival to be held in the Phoenix, AZ area, March 27th to March 30th, 2017. This outstanding event is the longest running and reported to be the largest baseball tournament of its kind in the nation. With this trip, we hope to further develop and demonstrate the educational aspects of sports throughout the state competition; experiences in team travel; gain the responsibility of representing their school through sportsmanship and citizenship; and the opportunity to provide exposures to themselves, their team, school and their community.

The trip would be for 4 days and 3 nights, Monday March 27, 2017 through Thursday March 30, 2017.

2 Games and 2 Scrimmages will be played: Monday (scrimmage vs. Boulder)), Tuesday (scrimmage vs. Cherry Creek), Wednesday and Thursday at high schools in the Phoenix area. The team will be scrimmaging along with playing in the tournament. Along with participation in these games and scrimmages, the team will also participate in team building activities, which will include Arizona State vs. UNLV Baseball game on Tuesday night, spring training game, and other team activities.

The trip will cost each player around $500. This includes airfare, transportation in Phoenix and housing. Payment plans maybe available. Baseball staff and parent volunteers will supervise players.

This has been a very successful and enjoyable trip for our baseball team. Players look forward to this trip each year and enjoy the time we spend together.

If for some reason your son may not be able to attend this trip, please contact the coach as soon as possible so other arrangements may be completed. Parents are invited to attend this trip but must take care of travel plans separately.
