Matthew 24:1-3 (KJV) 1 And Jesus went out, and departed ...

Matthew 24:1-3 (KJV) 1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Jesus inner circle (Peter, James, John and Andrew) now comes with the question Three questions and Jesus answers .

"The teaching of the Olivet discourse is much debated and frequently misunderstood, largely because it is viewed through the lens of a particular theological system or interpretive scheme that makes the message appear complex and enigmatic. But the disciples were not learned men, and Jesus' purpose was to give them clarity and encouragement, not complexity and anxiety." John MacArthur

The Cornavirus has many people asking questions as it has impacted THE WORLD more than any other EVENT in our Lifetime. People are asking questions: This is Jesus longest answer to any question in the Bible.

HOW? WHY? What does it tell us ?

I would like us to see the signs Jesus gives us the answer the questions about the Pandemic we find ourselves in. Note Jesus wants us to know these answers 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

I. What are these signs for

Signs for what ? not the Rapture but The Second Coming Matthew 23:37-39 (KJV) 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

The tribulation is a future seven-year period of time when God will finish His discipline of Israel and finalize His judgment of the unbelieving world. The church, made up of all who have trusted in the person and work of the Lord Jesus to save them from being punished for sin, will not be present during the tribulation.

The church will be removed from the earth in an event known as the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-53).

The church is saved from the wrath to come (1 Thessalonians 5:9).

Throughout Scripture, the tribulation is referred to by other names such as the Day of the Lord (Isaiah 2:12; 13:6-9; Joel 1:15; 2:1-31; 3:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:2); trouble or tribulation (Deuteronomy 4:30; Zephaniah 1:1); Six major powers are involved in the final campaign: the revived Roman Empire, the northern confederation (Russia and her allies), the kings of the East (Asia), the kings of the South (Africa), the Lord and His armies, and the nation of Israel

the great tribulation, which refers to the more intense second half of the sevenyear period (Matthew 24:21); time or day of trouble (Daniel 12:1; Zephaniah 1:15); time of Jacob's trouble (Jeremiah 30:7)

The Battle of Armageddon brings the end of the Tribulation and the beginning of Christ SECOND COMING for His Millennial Reign (Zechariah 14:4,9; Isaiah 9:6,7; Revelation 20:4,4) Dr. J. Dwight Pentecost, in his book Things to Come states: "The millennium will be the period of the full manifestation of the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. There will be the manifestation of glory associated with the humanity of Christ. There will be the glory of a glorious dominion, in which Christ, by virtue of his obedience unto death, is given universal dominion to replace that dominion which Adam lost. There will be the glory of a glorious government, in which Christ, as David's son is given absolute power to govern. There will be the glory of a glorious inheritance, in which the land and the seed promised to Abraham are realized through Christ..."

3. Time of Devastation Matthew 24:7 (KJV) 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
