Job description: Marketing Assistant

Responsible to: Communications and Marketing Manager

Status: Permanent

Location: London, W10

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. The nature of the work is such that employees are be required from time to time to work outside the hours stated or from locations outside the UK

Salary: £21,000

Main aims of the post

• Implement the Society’s marketing and promotion plan and source new promotional opportunities including content for email campaigns, social media, direct mailings and the Society’s member newsletter.

• To promote ISUOG, its Journal and educational resources, events, activities, membership and Outreach

• To grow ISUOG’s partnerships and increase the society’s profile internationally

• To strengthen ISUOG’s brand

• To ensure integrity and impact of ISUOG’s image and messaging to its members

• To ensure a high quality service for all ISUOG’s members

• Regular data reporting

Responsibilities:

1. General – quality assurance

▪ Maintaining quality of own workload on a day to day basis

▪ Constantly improving quality of service for ISUOG members and other stakeholders

▪ Working with the Communications and Marketing Manager and Operations Manager to improve and develop appropriate systems of working for membership and marketing.

▪ Reporting focused on KPI

2. To support the promotion of the society, its Journal and educational resources, events, activities, membership and Outreach.

3. Upload material to the website(s), social media pages, online libraries and marketing department databases

4. To produce marketing materials and literature, such as web content, direct emails or newsletters, brochures and press releases

5. To liaise with designers, printers and other providers.

6. To produce and assist with PowerPoint promotional material and ISUOG presentations

7. To coordinate ISUOG’s approved course programme, liaise with potential and current partners and send promotional material to joint events to ensure ISUOG branding

8. Write and proofread copy

9. To support the Communications and Marketing Manager to ensure the highest quality of all ISUOG communications and alignment with the organisational vision and mission and to implement the marketing plan:

10. To assist in the Society’s annual World Congress and other events as required.

11. To carry out other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the Society

Success in this role will be measured against the Key Performance Indicators of the Society relating to the goals around membership, marketing, communications and partnerships.
