Purpose

It is essential for all healthcare providers, especially those delivering care daily in a clinic setting, to have knowledge of caring for the mental health of the people of our region. This one-day activity will address the presentation and treatment of mental health diagnoses and provide an awareness of transitions in care by identifying key processes to improve the overall care of the mental health patient. The target audience for this activity includes primary care and acute care physicians, nurse practitioners, counselors, nurses, social work, administrators and other healthcare providers interested in the content of this activity.

Faculty Disclosure

Current guidelines state that all speakers and planners of a CME approved activity must disclose to the audience any real or apparent conflict(s) of interest related to the content of the presentation. Faculty are also expected to inform the audience whether or not presentations will include discussion of an unlabeled or investigational use of a product or device not yet approved by the FDA for the use being presented. All disclosures will be available to each attendee in the activity packet, which will be distributed prior to the beginning of the conference.
