Cheerleading

Let's Go Tigers!!! Do you have team spirit and want to show it? Join Miss Bri for an exciting season of learning cheering techniques, cheers and routines! Come get fired up and into the spirit as an SJCS Tiger Cheerleader!

World Travelers Club

Calling adventurers, world-travelers, and explorers! Journey with me around the world and through our seven continents. Our stops include a hike through the Amazon Jungle, tea time with the Queen of England, a jumping contest with a kangaroo, and more! Grab your map and suitcase as we travel the world!

Each week, students will have the opportunity to experience a different continent using five of their senses. At the end, everyone will take home their personalized passport full of places and memories. I look forward to traveling with you!

Doc McStuffins Club

Come join Ms. Monique as we care for our stuffed animals and toys in our playhouse clinic. Like any good doctor, Doc has special assistants helping in the clinic, and I need your help! You will get your very own stethoscope and supplies to help your very own stuffed animals "feel better." We will learn to give them check-ups and diagnose their illness by using "The Big Book of Boo Boos".

Every week you will learn about different ways to take care of your body. Please bring your favorite stuffed animal each week and be prepared to have loads of fun! J

Color Madness

Have you every wondered what Monet was thinking when he was painting his famous Lily Pads? Do you wish you could replicate a Jackson Pollock? Well, you have come to the right place! Mrs. Subity and Mrs. Van Ewyk will instruct your child on how to paint like a master painter, and learn a little history along the way. Each Friday we will learn about famous painters and attempt to replicate their techniques.

Young Chefs Club

Minecraft Club

Let's take a journey into the culinary world of healthy recipes: "quick and easy" as well as "on the go". We will explore both savory and sweet recipes that will be great to share with your family at home. Other topics of interest are: portion size, measurements, and healthy choices. On the last day your child will come home with their very own decorated recipe book. So hop on the food train and let's get cookin'!

Chess Club

Join Mr. I in an exploration of chess strategy and work on honing your skills. In addition to learning all the moves rules to chess, we will study tactics such as pawn position, controlling space, gaining tempo, strategies for blitz chess, and much more. Beginners and experts will all be challenged--plus a "grand prize" for anyone who can beat Mr. I in a game.

Instructor: Mr. I Grades: 3rd-8th Meets Fridays from 3:15- 4:15 Cost: $80 Club meets 5 times (no club 2/10 or 2/17)

Do you want to learn and play Minecraft on a multiplayer server in a safe environment? This club will discuss and explore some early strategies when starting out in Minecraft in a friendly collaborative survival world. In addition, there will be a creative world that will carry on between club sessions. Prerequisite is a pre-purchased Mojang account per child (approx. $27, if you need assistance in completing this purchase please the contact the instructor). This class is limited to 14 participants. New participants should send the Mojang username, email and password to the instructor.

Mad Science Light, Sight, and Sound

Join this session of Mad Science to learn about heat, magnetism, sonar, optical illusions, and more. This class is sure to be a blast!
