ARTICLE 1: NAME

Section 1: The name of this organization shall be Moore Youth Baseball Association, Inc. Here in after referred to as "M.Y.B.A., Inc.". The Association shall operate exclusively as a non-profit organization.

ARTICLE 2: PURPOSE

Section 1: The purpose of this Association is to provide safe, supervised sport activities for the youth of the Moore Community.

ARTICLE 3: MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY

Section 1: Any child attending the Moore Public Schools or living in the Moore Public School District. Section 2: The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of this child shall be eligible for membership in this Association and in good standing with the authority having jurisdiction. Section 3: Any adult living in the Moore School District that is interested in furthering the objectives of this Association and in good standing with the authority having jurisdiction.

ARTICLE 4: OFFICIALS

Section 1: ELECTED: The President and Age Group Coordinators shall be nominated and elected by the members of the Association. Section 2: APPOINTED: The Senior Vice President, Executive Vice President, Baseball Director, Secretary, and Treasurer shall be appointed by the newly elected President. These appointments must be ratified by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.

ARTICLE 5: BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Section 1: The Board of Directors shall be the combined efforts of the Executive Board (known as the authority having jurisdiction) and the Age Group Coordinators. They shall be the governing body of Association. Such members are to be elected and/or appointed as specified in the Constitution and/or Bylaws of this Association. AND MUST BE IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION.

ARTICLE 6: MEETINGS Section 1: The Executive Board shall meet no less than once a month in an executive session as needed Section 2: The Board of Directors shall meet no less than once a month in an executive session as required. Section 3: The president of the association may call a special meeting. Section 4: Regular membership meeting dates shall be scheduled by the President as needed.

ARTICLE 7: AMENDMENTS

Section 1: This Constitution shall remain permanent and effective each year until modified by amendments approved by 75% of the Board of Directors and ratified by a majority of the responding Association.

ARTICLE 8: GROUND RULES FOR LEAGUE PLAY

Section 1: All age groups will be governed by the local rules set forth by the Moore Youth Baseball Association League Rules and Regulations.

ARTICLE 9: INVALIDITY OF ANY ARTICLES

Section 1: Should any article of this document be declared invalid or in conflict with any of the jurisdiction where the project is situated, the validity of all other articles shall remain unaffected and in full force and effect.

Current Constitution CONSTITUTION OF THE MOORE YOUTH BASEBALL ASSOCIATION. THIS CONSTITUTION IS EFFECTIVE FOR EACH YEAR AND SHALL REMAIN PERMANENT UNTIL MODIFIED BY AMENDMENTS APPROVED BY 75% OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND RATIFIED BY A MAJORITY OF RESPONDING ASSOCIATION MEMBERS.

ARTICLE I (NAME) THIS ORGANIZATION SHALL BE KNOWN AS THE MOORE YOUTH BASEBALL ASSOCIATION, INC.

ARTICLE II (PURPOSE) THE PURPOSE OF THIS ORGANIZATION SHALL BE TO PROMOTE BASEBALL FOR THE YOUTH OF THIS COMMUNITY, TO ENCOURAGE A MAXIMUM OF PARTICIPATION WITH THE EMPHASIS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHARACTER AND SPORTSMANSHIP.

ARTICLE III (MEMBERSHIP) ANY ADULT RESIDENT OF THE CITY OF MOORE OR PARENT OF A CHILD LIVING IN OR ATTENDING THE MOORE SCHOOL SYSTEM SHALL BE ELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THIS ASSOCIATION AND IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION.

ARTICLE IV (OFFICIALS) THE ELECTED OFFICIALS SHALL BE PRESIDENT, BOARD MEMBERS FROM EACH AGE GROUP, AND MINOR REPRESENTATIVES. VICE-PRESIDENT, BASEBALL DIRECTOR, SECRETARY, AND TREASURER OFFICIALS SHALL BE APPOINTED AND ELECTED BY OFFICIALS.

ARTICLE V (MEETINGS) ANNUAL MEETING IN AUGUST OR AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE CURRENT BASEBALL SEASON, AND SPECIAL WHEN NEEDED AS CALLED BY THE PRESIDENT.

ARTICLE VI (AMENDMENTS) THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL BE AMENDED BY A 75% VOTE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS PRESENT (MUST HAVE A QUORUM) AND A MAJORITY VOTE OF THE RESPONDING ASSOCIATION MEMBERS.

ARTICLE VII (BOARD OF DIRECTORS) THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS SHALL BE THE GOVERNING BODY OF THIS ASSOCIATION. SUCH MEMBERS ARE TO BE ELECTED OR APPOINTED AS SPECIFIED IN THE BY-LAWS AND CONSTITUTION OF THIS ORGANIZATION AND MUST BE IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION.
