TELL EVERYONE
Let friends, family and your employees know you'll be sleeping out on June 21st and that homelessness in the ACT is an important issue to you. You can email them, post on Facebook, promote on your organisations intranet, making sure to link to your fundraising profile or even tell them in person.
SEND THEM TO YOUR FUNDRAISING PAGE
Every time you tell people you're participating in the event, send them the link to your fundraising page. This makes it clear and easy for people to know where exactly to donate to your cause and support you.
GET PERSONAL
Personalise your fundraising page and let people know why this cause is important to you. Upload a photo, include a blurb about why you're participating and why homelessness is a cause you feel people should be passionate about.
GO SOCIAL
Promote your fundraising page to your social networks. Regularly post on Facebook or tweet about how your fundraising is going, and don't forget the link to your fundraising page. We also have the hashtag #CEOSleepoutAU, include this on your posts so we can see how well you're doing!
Don't forget to share your reason, why is homelessness an important issue to you and why are you so driven to fundraise for it.
Also, thanking your donors on social media is a great way to publicly acknowledge their generosity.

SET A TARGET
Set an achievable goal you're happy with, for example if your target is $5,000 it only takes a few key business contacts and a fundraising event to get you to your goal.
Another way to get creative is to set an action for each target. Challenge your colleagues, friends and family that if you hit $5,000 then you'll do the event without a sleeping bag or you'll wear a onesie for the entire event!
ADVERTISE
Download the CEO Sleepout poster and put it around your workplace so your staff know you're participating. Download our specially designed graphics to post on social media. Get creative and let people know you're passionate about this event!
SAY THANK YOU TO YOUR DONORS
Send a personal thank you note to people who donate to your page. Saying thank you will let them know how much you appreciate their efforts. Thanking your donors on social media is also a great way to publicly acknowledge their generosity.
HOLD A FUNDRAISER
Online fundraising isn't the only way to raise funds for this important cause. Why not hold an "offline" fundraiser? It could be a morning tea, a BBQ, movie night, a trivia event, a dinner - the sky is the limit!
If you do hold a separate event, be sure to email a photo to us at canberra@.au so we can promote what you're doing on our Facebook and Twitter accounts!
