Introducing Ent's New Board Officers

I am pleased to introduce our newly elected board officers: Ron Martinez - chairman; Pam Nicholson - vice chair; Chris Vadala - secretary (re-elected); and Bill Ayen - treasurer.

All four of these community leaders bring a tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience -- both in and outside of our industry -- to the board. Their guidance and expertise will be instrumental as we continue to grow along the Front Range.

Ron Martinez Pam Nicholson

If the name Ron Martinez, CFA, sounds familiar, it's because

he has served on our board since 2008. Ron was board treasurer from 2009 to 2012 and again from 2015 to 2019.

Bill Ayen

Chris Vadala

Initially a credit analyst for the Colorado National Bank of Denver, he moved over to US

WEST and ultimately served as the Director of International Finance. During his career,

Ron was also managing director at UBS and president of The Brinson Foundation,

Chicago. Currently a private investment manager of personal and family portfolios, he

also volunteers for the Food Bank of the Rockies, Food Bank of Southern Colorado

and the Colorado Mountain Club. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business

administration from the University of Denver and his MBA from Columbia University.

We are grateful for the time and talents of all of our board members.

Sincerely,

Chad Graves Chief Executive Officer

Ent Announces 2019 Youth Endowment Series Grants

We recently awarded the 2019 Youth Endowment Series (YES) Grants to select Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Denver area nonprofit organizations. The YES Grant program was established in

2000 and provides grants to organizations benefitting youth in the communities we serve. This year we awarded 37 YES Grants totaling $110,000 to agencies providing young people with vital programs and services including education, child advocacy and health care. Applications were evaluated based on the purpose of the grant request and the projected benefit to the

community by a volunteer panel of Ent employees.

Since its inception in 2000, the YES Grants program has awarded more than

$1.2 million in grants to more than 168 Colorado nonprofits.

For a complete list of the winners, please visit YESGrants.

Summer Savings Tips Teach Kids Financial Responsibility

With help, children can practice planning their spending on fun pursuits, compare prices to get the best deals and save money for exciting future events. The most popular way to begin is with an allowance, which many parents link to chores. If kids earn a modest amount for chores like pulling weeds, helping with dishes, or taking out the garbage, they can work towards having enough money to pay for things they want. It's a first-hand financial education that comes with the bonus of a cleaner house!

Once kids start earning money, consider using the rule of thirds. For younger kids, create a powerful visual by evenly dividing any earned or allowance money into a savings, a spending and a giving bucket. At the end of every month, kids get to use their spending third, donate their giving third and deposit the savings third into a real savings account for future expenses that you can plan together.

For older kids, logging in online can be a more productive way to manage their money. Anyone with a free Ent Savings Account has access to our Ent's Money Insight tools. Members can set their own savings goals, track expenses and even add accounts from other financial institutions to see the full picture of their financial health. It's a great way to use technology to teach them financial responsibility and to set them up for success.

Are You Ready for Hail Season?

Summertime is here and so is hail season. Check out these helpful tips if you need to repair or replace your property.

AUTO TIPS ? If you need to replace your vehicle, chances

are about 1,000 of your neighbors will too. Consider shopping in areas that were not hit by a storm.

? If your vehicle is declared a total loss by an insurance company, you can quickly get the amount you owe on your loan by visiting VehiclePayoff.

HOME TIPS ? Some roofing contractors with local phone numbers aren't actually local. Ask

where their offices are and if they live in the community. ? Obtain and save all estimates and receipts for any home repairs. ? Be suspicious of any demands for a large prepayment or requests to pay in full

before work is started. ? Ensure the quality of materials are at least equivalent to what your home

already has installed.

During this difficult time, if you have any questions about your home or auto loan, call us and we'll help guide you toward a path to recovery.
