Key Responsibilities

Key deliverables to be achieved by the intern and the ongoing responsibilities of the role

To provide support to the Government Affairs and Market Access teams on key strategic projects including: policy research, writing and coordination; political and policy monitoring; and support for the preparation of reimbursement (i.e. the process of applying for Government subsidy for public access to a medicine or vaccine) or reimbursement policy-related submissions.

? Assist with Government Affairs strategic projects as directed by Head of Government Affairs and Policy. ? Assist with Reimbursement & Pricing strategic projects as directed by Head, Reimbursement & Pricing. ? Support GSK's public policy priorities through research, writing, coordination of internal teams, and

monitoring of the external environment (including Government policies, public policy reviews or consultations, stakeholder positioning, legislative changes, etc which relate to the regulation of GSK's business or the ways in which we deliver access to our medicines and vaccines through public schemes). ? Support GSK's market access priorities (i.e. priorities relating to how GSK provides broad patient access to medicines and vaccines within the public systems, for example the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme or the National Immunisation Program) by assisting in the preparation of reimbursement or reimbursement policyrelated submissions. ? Assist with development and delivery of GSK Australia's Reconciliation Action Plan and related activities

Study Disciplines

Public policy, public health, economics, law, or sciences/ medicine. Combined degree experience covering scientific and or medical terminology would be advantageous.

Experience demonstrating ability to write and communicate in an effective and persuasive manner. Academic experience/knowledge within the communications/commercial/political/economic arena.

Leading on a project to develop and implement a Reconciliation Action Plan, including Cultural Training. ? Create and describe the budget impact model component of a public funding application of a new medicine ? Exposure to practical use of health economics via supporting preparation of public funding dossiers, discussions

and meetings. Review and collation of evidence supporting increased manufacturing and supply costs to support price review applications

? You must be in your penultimate/ultimate year of a Bachelors Degree in (fill in for your role) ? An interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical or consumer healthcare industry is favorable ? Strong passion and interest in the placement field ? Excellent written and oral communication skills ? Initiative and an eagerness to learn ? Customer focus ? High attention to detail, rigor and process ?
