A special board meeting of the Perry Community School District Board of Directors was held at the School Administration Center, Second Floor Conference Room, 1102 Willis Avenue, Perry, Iowa on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 8:00 a.m.

Roll call present by Board Secretary Bultman: Dan Wilhelmi, Vice-President Jim Lutmer, Director Darek VanKirk, Director

Absent: Kathy Powell, President Kenia Alarcon, Director

Motion by VanKirk, seconded by Lutmer it was RESOLVED: To approve the agenda as presented. Aye: Lutmer, Wilhelmi, VanKirk Nay:

Motion by VanKirk, seconded by Lutmer it was RESOLVED: To approve the outright purchase of laptops for the district 1 on 1 initiative and to not proceed with a lease option. Aye: Lutmer, Wilhelmi, VanKirk Nay:

Motion by Lutmer, seconded by VanKirk it was RESOLVED: To approve the extra hour pay for licensed staff at the rate of $30.00/hour which replaces the old rate of $22.05/hour. Aye: Lutmer, Wilhelmi, VanKirk Nay:

Superintendent Ubben discussed the possibility of submitting a FEMA application for a safe room project. Board members consented to go ahead with a submission as the discretion of the Superintendent.
