Membership in the National Honor Society is earned by the effective demonstration of the four qualities held in high esteem by the Society. They are: Scholarship (commitment to learning), Service (willingness to work, without compensation for the benefit of those in need), Leadership (exerting a wholesome influence on the school and community), and Character (demonstration of respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, and citizenship)

Membership in the National Honor Society will be determined by the submission of a typewritten, one to two paragraph statement expressing why you feel you should be accepted into the National Honor Society and the following criteria: (High School refers to grades 9 – 12 only). A Selection Committee consisting of faculty will consider each application.
Grades: (18 Points maximum) A minimum GPA of 3.0 is mandatory.

If selected, members of the National Honor Society must maintain the high standing of which they were selected (Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character) and will be expected to be active members (attending meetings, participate in NHS sponsored activities, etc)
