My straightforward expectation is that you will attend and be active participants in class unless you have acceptable reasons for missing a scheduled meeting (e.g. sickness, a death in the family, etc.). If you miss a class, you are responsible for catching up with the work for that day. If you miss more than six classes, you may FAIL the course. ................
