NEW VACANCY

The Ministry of HEALTH received grants from the Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDs, Malaria and Tuberculosis and support to health system strengthening in Liberia. The Ministry now intends to hire the services of consultant that will serve in the below listed capacity:

Position Objective

? To worked along with the ART Officer and other staff to design and implement programs for services such as HTS, PMTCT, STI and ART and ensure that guidelines and policies are adhered to for quality service provision. To increase the number of HIV positive people enrolled in chronic HIV care, and the number of people eligible for antiretroviral therapy on high quality treatment, To ensure that the number of HIV pregnant women in PMTCT program are initiated on ART

Duties and Responsibilities

? Provide site mentoring to clinicians at health facilities offering HIV services in the country

Required Skills

? Design national strategy to increase access to and enrollment in HIV chronic care and treatment services

? To submit to the HIV care and treatment coordinator, unit head and Deputy Program Manager for Programs on a quarterly basis an action plan for increasing progress towards and beyond ART targets

? To ensure facilities have required healthcare products provided by NACP and funding agencies to provide care for people with HIV including but not limited to OI drugs, ARVs, and PEP

? To monitor adherence to national care and treatment guidelines

? To coordinate work and collaborate with the six (6) program coordinators

? To assist the Supply Chain Manager in forecasting, distributing, and monitoring health products for people living with HIV (ARVs, OIs, PEP)

Qualification: BSN, RN, PA, CM, RN

Essential: A university degree in medicine

Skills: Clinical

Competencies: - Communicating in a credible and effective way,- Fostering integration and teamwork, Producing results

Functional knowledge and skills:- Good knowledge in the implementation of training programs: both formal and hands-on learning facilitation; Good understanding of services related to HIV care and treatment such as counseling and testing, procurement and supplies management; Cultural sensitivity

Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in clinical HIV case management

Desirable: Language: Excellent knowledge of English.

Place of assignment: Sinoe County
