From the Sick and Visiting Committee!

We would like to pay our heartfelt respects to a Brother Eagle who recently passed on.

Sidney Blaine Lewis passed away on September 23rd, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Donna, 2 sons and 2 grandchildren.

From all of us at Deer Valley Eagles, our sincere condolences to his family and friends.

AERIE AND AUXILIARY 3871 NEWS

Congratulations to Stacy DePuma on winning the Mystery Gift on September 30th, 2004. Total proceeds donated to the Burns and Trauma Foundation, was $212.00. Thanks for everyone's participation.

A special thank you to Chris and Donna for putting on the Chimichanga dinner on Saturday October 6th. All donations went to the State Presidents Project.

A reminder to all members. The handicap parking is designated to our handicap members and guests only. You may not park in these spots unless you have a handicap license plate or handicap sign or placard displayed on your vehicle dash board or rearview mirror. Please adhere to this as we have had several complaints from members. Please let those who really need to park there, do so. Thank you.

A big thank you to Norma Masterson for all the work she has been doing in the kitchen including cleaning and painting. We appreciate everything you have been doing. Its members like you who make a difference.

Attention Auxiliary members: There will be a luncheon on November 19th at 12pm at the club for the ladies who helped out with the lap blankets.

On Saturday, December 11th, the Eagles Bike Club will be going on the 2nd Annual Toy Run to the Sunshine Group Home in Glendale. For those who went last year, it was an ever lasting impression on the Kids as well as our Eagle members in attendance. Who can forget the kids faces when they saw the bikes, got to start them, rev them up, and take rides in the parking lot. Oh Ya, there were also all the donations that were given to us to give to the kids in the form of clothes, toys, etc...But the bikes will forever be remembered by the kids in attendance. We want to make this bigger and better then last year and with more time to plan the event and gather up donations, it should not be a problem. Starting November 1st, the Eagles will start accepting donations in the form of clothes, toys, etc...More information to be provided in the November and December newsletters. If you have any questions or need more information, please see Carl Barros. So join us this year for the 2nd Annual Toy Run and lets make it a huge success.

Also, any cash donations will be used to purchase gifts as needed.
